Though shifts in women’s hairstyles may be more obvious, hair trends for men change just as often. This fall, it is all about embracing texture and playing with the proportions of your hair for a more interesting look. It can always be refreshing to try something new, so why not use this seasons hottest styles as your inspiration?

Naturally Slicked Back

Less groomed than previous seasons, this look is shorter on the sides with length up top. Instead of being gelled back and held close to the head with product, for fall the hair is left more natural. This more relaxed look is still a polished way to keep those locks a bit longer. 

Pop of Colour

Pastels, vivids and jewel tones have been all over the place this year. There are no rules and people are embracing every hue right now, so why not give it a try? Platinum is also a less vibrant choice with the same big impact. 

Short on the Sides

Some volume on top with closely trimmed sides and back looks good almost universally. This is very easy style to wear and works with many different hair types. You can’t go wrong with an updated classic and some loose texture. 

In with the matte 

The main reinvention we’ve seen is a departure from the super glossy slicked back hair. Instead of pomades, try using a product with less shine like Kevin Murphy Night Rider. Think less Mad Men and more David Beckham! Using a matte finish cream or paste will give you that slightly messy texture that’s so big for fall.
